Nashville's own, Love Is Earth, released a short video featuring the new pieces from their SS 14 lookbook, available April 20th.

[Fashion] Backstage at Moschino A/W 2014

 

Jeremy Scott re-purposed Moschino's iconic belts for his first collection with the brand. Models were draped up and dripped out in gold chains, charms, and even Mercedes emblems. The garments took a nod from menswear with denim quilted snapbacks and with matching quilted bomber jackets. Quilted leather was also represented in the collection.

   

 

 

 

 It wouldn't be Jeremy Scott without in-your-face references to pop culture. From a fashion forward spin on the McDonalds logo, SpongeBob SquarePants' hilarious facial expressions, to gowns made from Hot Cheetos bags, there was plenty of humor in the collection.

[Fashion] VFiles Fall 2014 Collection

Vfiles, a dope online platform for creatives, chose three new designers: Melitta Baumeister from Germany, ASSK from Paris, and Hyein Seo from Antwerp to present their Fall 2014 collections during New York Fashion Week. Every fashion rule was broken from sleeping bag inspired outerwear, futuristic seperates in wacky proportions, to spooky furs with matching beanies. [Fashion Preview] Umit Benan Fall/Winter 2014

Designer Umit Benan showcased his Fall/Winter 2014 collection for the first time during Paris Fashion Week. Doing something rather different, he created an old-school baseball field as he dedicated his latest collection to Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in Major League Baseball. Using the occasion to attach a letter to varsity jackets, coats and more, a sporty spirit was reinforced throughout the collection. Relaxed silhouettes provided easy suiting that transitioned into quilted essentials sprinkled amongst more substantial pieces.
The beautiful pieces are even more intriguing because all of his models were African-American males. That's rare for some high-end fashion designers to do, but pushing the envelop is definitely the key to fashion.
