[New Nashville Tunes] S.T.A.N. - Ghost

For the next 9 Firday, S.T.A.N. stated that we will receive new tunes from him. He explained on twitter why the project, #NND, was lost and then rewarded us with it's release by dropping loosies every Friday. No complaints about that.

The first release is "Ghost" and it comes on with an eerie like feelings, but it doesn't take long before you hear S.T.A.N. jump in and conquer the beat.  The chorus is definitely something that you need to play over and over again, "Everyday I need mine, I need mine! I can definitely hear growth and development in his voice and that's always great!

Press play on the track below and take a listen. It's also available for free download as well, so grab that!

[Nashville New Tunes] Top Prospekt - Legit Yes (Prod. by P. Cole)

Right just before Valentines' Day, Top Prospekt of Nashville, Tn decided to give a little something to help you kick off your love day. Producer P. Cole, tweaks the Floetry song "Say Yes" and definitely makes it something quite divine.

"Legit Yes" is a great song overall. I enjoy the face that he used the phrase "down ass chick", especially since it's an ode to a special woman, so he worded that so appropriately. Very subtle and smooth, it's something that you wouldn't mind playing with your significant other and blaze a couple and enjoy the Valentines' night and other nights as well.

Press play on the track below and it is available for free download, so support and cop that!

[New Nashville Tunes] PA Lit & Kaby - Just Because (Japanese Import) Prod. By Nathan Zensen (Stream + Download)

Better late than never. Who knew I was listening to this EP in its entirety last year right after the Boom Bap. Sitting in the drive-thru at Jack in the Box was when I realized that PA Lit and Kaby were working on a joint project, my face lit up!

PA Lit and Kaby come together for a little Tennessee magic entitled "Just Because." The entire EP was produced by Nathan Zensen, who happens to be on my radar heavily and it coming close to being one of my favorite producers! Pleasant little surprise this is because it literally dropped with no warning just a single "I Don't Know" that was released early this year.

The 5-track EP comes with 5 great tracks. Oddly enough, I can't quite single out a standout track because I genuinely enjoy the entire tape from beginning to end. It happens to be one of those projects that you just press play on number one and let it play all the way through. It's good seeing collaboration like this work so well. Each artist has a different, distinct sound that actually mashes well on every track. We all know that this definitely isn't the last time we will hear there two together an I'm all for that.

Press play on the project below and be sure to download it as well. Make sure you peep Nathan's skills especially at the end of "Tea Time At The Apollo", straight genius!

[New Nashville Tunes] Brown - 7:22 EP (Stream + Download)

My first time ever hearing of Brown was when the announcement came that he was performing at Beer & Tacos. Oddly enough, it didn't make me want to go to his soundcloud or anything to see if he had any skills. Last night, my twitter timeline was full of hashtags about Brown releasing his debut project, 7:22. Too tired to listen to it last night, I made it my priority to listen to in the following morning.

7:22 is a 6-track EP that definitely made me fully aware of not only who Brown was, but it also made me aware of the talent he possess. Pressing play on the entire tape and letting it play, a couple of tracks stood out. "The Release," "My Hennessy Song," and "The Dollar Menu Ballad."

I listened to the entire project twice and my only negative is that his vocabulary isn't that vast on this project. I felt like it was a little too much cursing. Other than that, he lets out some whitty bars that you'll catch off rip. He's just 20 years old, I believe, and as time goes, I can see growth and maturity coming to him real soon. He's headed in the right direction, so be on the lookout for more music from the kid.

In the meantime, press play on the tape below and be sure to download it as well. If you're in the surrounding areas of Nashville, Tn, you can catch him performing alongside Young Thug and Curtis Williams at Beer & Tacos on February 27 at Anthem!

[New Nashville Tunes] PA Lit & Kaby - I Don't Know

Nashville is at it once again. This time we hear from someone who has been absent from the new tunes side and then someone who won Best Rap Album by Nashville Scene. PA Lit and Kaby link up for what looks to be the beginning of a collaborative project. "I Don't Know" is the track and it is produced by Nathan Zensen, who is the one who produced Kaby's H.E.R.E. project.
PA has that smooth, ride to the beat type sound that work so well on this track and then Kaby comes in and adds some spice to it with his crazy bars that flow nicely.
It's good to see the artist in Nashville collab-ing and making good music for the masses.
Check out the track below and be sure to look out for both artist.

[New Nashville Tunes] Gee Slab Feat. Petty - Embarrassin' Us

I definitely have to show love to the city in which I reside. Today, I bring to you a brand new track from a Nashville native that goes by the name of Gee Slab. He's been promoting this song for quite some time now, so this was a release that we patiently waiting for.
Bringing a fellow Nashvillian, Petty, along for the ride, Slab flows through his verses and Petty gives us the chorus.
Check out the two producers on the track, Bandplay and Mike Ewing. Those two producers are definitely ones to keep your eye on forreal.
While you're listening to the track and you want to get a feel of who's embarrassing them, take a real good look at the single artwork. Ha, can you name everyone on there?
Check out the track below and be sure to show love to both Gee Slab and Petty.
